Hello, if you copy code of this forum to AFL editor in AmiBroker or if re-pasting into forum editor then format (i.e. indentation) gets lost. I have asked proboards support and they told me that this is by default. But they will revisit the forum editor and might add an option to turn off this behaviour. Hopefully it won't take months. ITM, you may use alternatives like pastie.org etc and being set to private.

I wouldn't mind posting code to pastie.org. However, I would need some 'idiot' level instructions first. For example: 1. freenode -- so what? 2. AFL language not on list! So use C/C++? Or? 3. How does one inform UABF users what has been pasted on pastie?
Sorry, I've been using computer for over 50 years, and somehow got addicted to documentation (as oppossed to intuition). -- Keith

I don't understand your first question, sorry. As for 2. Well, if you like to use C/C++ then you may do so. It makes the most sense since AFL is not there as selection option. As for 3. You just include the link to you created (private) pastie in your post in Codes area of UABF.

Keith, I just went to and tried out pastie for first time. I copied and pasted this code pastie.org/private/yaouhhilnhdjut1i0cdvaand checked the Private box at the bottom and, pasted the url you see here. Let me know us know if this afl works (and feel free to tell me if it looks into the future or any other reasons why it is bad_ I am not using 5.9x so can't check that). Does this answer your questions?

The reason for code losing format seems to be related to some Firefox extension. If using standard Firefox without any add-ons then copy&paste does work fine without losing format. Will further investigate which plugin is causing it.

After further investigation it turns out that it is not some add-on but different browsers behave differently. For example Palemoon completely ignores format and removes it after copying code from here (no matter if javascript is turned on or off). If jscript is turned off then it only keeps white space lines but still ignores indentation. If jscript is turned on then it removes both. Firefox and Opera behave better. If javascript is turned off then i.e. it keeps indentation and space lines. If jscript for this site is turned on then it only removes space lines. test code amibrokerforum.proboards.com/thread/23/code-tags-testStill I have seen this strange behaviour only here at proboards if copy&pasting code from codes being inserted via code tags. I will ask proboards support to do something about it. BTW in order to control javascript in Firefox you may use noscript.net/Mozilla have removed setting in newer version and you can only control via about:config support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/994809

The code numerization plugin being applied to this forum seems to have effect to it also. I think I will disable it. Too bad since it would be a great addition. EDIT: Code Numericaliser plug-in has been disabled in this forum. Now copy&paste seems to work fine in test browser Firefox. Please post if you still have some issues if copying code from here into AFL editor or Notepad++ etc.
